Q. How can I know if my
booking has been confirmed?
A. All bookings are confirmed by a
reference which is displayed on the screen. We automatically
send you written confirmation by email containing your booking reference and the
details of your journey. We advise you to print out this email as you will be
asked for the reference when you check in at the port. It will also be useful if
you need to contact us regarding your booking.
Q. I have not received
confirmation by email, has my booking been registered?
A. To check whether your booking has been registered, you can
contact us on + 33 3 21 17 70 33* or at renseignements@seafrance.fr
indicating your booking reference number or, if you don’t have it, your name and
the dates of your journey.
Q. Is it obligatory to book
tickets in advance?
A. It is not obligatory, you may purchase your ticket when
you arrive at the port. However, we cannot guarantee availability and only
advance booking ensures that you will be able to leave. Moreover, certain
special offers are not available when tickets are purchased from the port and
must be booked the day before departure at the latest. So, to take advantage of
our best prices and a guaranteed place on board, we advise you to book in
advance.
Q. How do I book a
ticket for departure from Dover?
A. You may book a ticket to depart from Dover
by contacting us from France on + 33 3 21 17 70 33*.
Q. How can I change / cancel
a ticket?
A. First of all, check the terms
for changing / cancelling your booking. They are set out in your confirmation email.
You should then contact us on + 33 3 21 17 70 33* indicating your booking reference
number, or if you don’t have it, your name and the dates of your journey.
Q. Will I receive tickets?
A. If you have made your booking online, it will be
registered on computer. You only need your booking reference number which
appears on screen when you complete your booking: we therefore recommend that
you print it out. We also send you confirmation by email. You will be asked for
this reference number when you check in at the port and you will then receive
your tickets.
Q. How much time before
departure should I arrive at the port?
A. You must arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. You
should however arrive 45 minutes in advance if you are travelling with an
animal. You should have your booking reference number and valid identity
documents with you. Please note that since September 2004, immigration control
takes place before SeaFrance control and can lead to delays at peak times.
Q. Where should I go to check
in?
A. If you have your booking reference number and valid
identity documents, go straight to check in which is after immigration control,
following the signs for «Embarquement ». If you haven’t booked, go to the
SeaFrance Sales Point following the signs « sans réservations ».
