InterRail

 

InterRailing around Europe is one of the 'must do' travelling experiences. Great for the independent minded traveller, passes give you the flexibility to change plans as you travel around. With the train, you'll get to see more as you travel from country to country, watching the scenery change as you go.

Contrary to popular belief, InterRail is not just available to under 26's - anyone with a sense of adventure can take advantage of a pass.

InterRail is now more flexible than ever, Global passes start from £117 and there are four different options.

You can also choose to travel in style with a First class pass, prices start from £241 for a First class Global pass.

If you are keen to see the sights of one country in particular, why not buy a One Country Pass. Prices vary depending on which country you visit, so there's bound to be somewhere to go that's within your budget. One Country Passes are valid for a month.

There are four different options for the number of days you can travel within the month. Prices start from £24.

 

 

Holders of InterRail passes are entitled to certain discounts for some other transport, entry to museums and youth hostels, this includes ferry crossings on SeaFrance Ferries.

Passholders are entitled to a 50% discount on their crossing from Dover to Calais (or vice versa) when carrying a valid InterRail pass.

French Motorail

 Staying in the South of France? Why not take your own car with you.

 

Rail Europe's own French Motorail service is a train that takes you and your car overnight to one of six destinations in the south of France during the summer months.

 

 

 

Starting from Calais in the early evening, your car will be loaded onto the train. You and your passengers will share a private 'couchette' compartment with flat beds for the overnight journey. Arrive in the morning to start your holiday, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast while your car is unloaded.

 

French Motorail can carry most types of cars as well as motorbikes. 4x4s and people carriers can be carried to all destinations except Toulouse and Nice.

Prices are per car, not per passenger, and start from £290 one way.
