Useful Tips
-
Make copies of your passport and all other important documentation to leave with
your family or friends.
-
Leave a copy of your itinerary and your contact details with
your family or friends.
-
Make sure you have sufficient foreign money to use
when you arrive. It's worth remembering that most French
autoroutes charge tolls (péage).
-
Get hold of a good guidebook and maps of
where you are travelling.
-
Make sure you're familiar with local traffic
regulations, including speed limits; and also shop opening times (for example, in France most shops
are closed on Sundays).
